One transcript will be mailed to the student’s home address after completion of each course. Please allow 4-6 weeks after the class has ended in order to receive your transcript. Students who currently owe tuition funds to VU will have a hold placed upon their transcripts until their account is settled. For students who pay tuition by a personal or corporate check there may be additional processing time.
Duplicate transcripts can be ordered through the Registrar’s office, by completing the TAP Transcript Request Form. Duplicate copies are available for $4.00 each and can be mailed directly to the student’s school district or designated mailing address.
FAQ’s
I haven’t received my transcript yet and it has been more than 6 weeks after my class ended.
There could be a few different reasons you have not received your transcript. Your account may have a balance owing from a previous course, you may have paid the course by a check and the University has not been able to ensure it has cleared the bank, or grades have not yet been posted.
I received my transcript and there is a “NG” appearing next to a class I know was completed.
“NG” means No Grade. You may see this on your transcript if you are taking multiple courses through Vanguard University. This means a course is still in session or that grades have not yet been posted for that course. You will receive another transcript when grades are posted and your account is cleared.
I have a grade but the Hours Earned and GPA columns are not completed and I am concerned my school district will not accept the transcript.
These columns are only computed after all courses of the current semester have been completed and grades received. Rest assured your grade is valid and the transcript is considered a final transcript.
I just finished my class and I need my transcript quicker than the four to six weeks. What options do I have?
Unfortunately we are unable to process rush requests for transcripts. Grades are posted and transcripts go out in the order we receive the grades. In most cases we are able to send out transcripts within the four week time period. In the meantime your school district may accept a letter from the coordinator stating you have completed the course and your final transcript will be on its way pending payment clearance, please check with your school district in advance.
My friend received their transcript but I haven’t. What happened?
There could be a couple of reasons why you may not have received your transcript. You may have paid your tuition by check in which case there is a longer processing time, or there could be a problem with your mailing address.
